Sample DMV Test

Drive with confidence

Before taking the NJ written (Permit) test, it is essential that you first study thoroughly the latest official NJ MVC (DMV) guidebook. Although you may already know the answers to some of the more common questions, the test is made up of many detailed questions involving exact measurements distances, fines and penalties etc. In addition to studying the DMV guide, we have compiled a free online list of over 150 sample questions and answers for the written permit test. These online sample permit questions should only be looked at AFTER you have read through the MVC (DMV) booklet. These sample questions are meant to gauge your knowledge of the material in the booklet, not replace the booklet itself.

You may obtain a copy of the official NJ DMV (MVC) guide by calling the DMV at 888-486-3339 or visiting your nearest Motor Vehicles agency. There is no fee for the booklets, and they are printed in English and Spanish.

Skillful Driving School of Lakewood NJ has compiled these sample online questions to “help you” practice for your New Jersey DMV (MVC) written (permit) test. PLEASE NOTE that while it is legal to use these questions as a study guide and study aid, it is ILLEGAL to bring these questions into any Motor Vehicle Facility, as is the law regarding any and all study guides. Skillful Driving School prohibits use of this material in or around any Motor Vehicle office/facility, and is not held responsible if anyone is in violation of this law.
