16-Year Old Program
This program is specifically designed for 16-year-olds. It includes 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with one of our certified instructors, as well as taking the knowledge test (if you haven’t taken the test at your school), and all the required MVC paperwork.
Driving Instruction
Our driving lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each individual student, whether they are new to driving or just need some extra practice. Our instructors will provide personalized instruction to help students become comfortable and confident on the road.
Road Test Preparation
We will fine-tune your driving skills and provide invaluable tips to help you pass your road test. There’s knowing how to drive and then there’s knowing how to pass a road test. We’ll prep you, so there are no surprises on the big day.
Road Test Service
We provide door-to-door service with one of our vehicles to take the test with. Our instructor will give you invaluable tips and guidance while you wait on line. Of course, our vehicles are equipped with all the MVC requirements.

Knowledge Test

For 16 Year Olds who have not taken the written test at their school. We'll even drop off a study guide when we pick-up your paperwork.
16-Year Old Program

New Jersey law requires that 16-year-olds complete six hours of driving with a licensed driving school, prior to keeping possession of a Learners Permit.
One Hour Lesson

Our one hour lesson is an individual lesson with one of our certified instructors.
(2 hour minimum for areas out of Lakewood)
Two Hour Lesson

With two hours, you'll get plenty of time to get that repetition of driving maneuvers, that is all that important when learning how to drive safely and with confidence.
Road Test Service

We use late model and easy to handle vehicles so that you have the best advantages possible going your way when you take your road test.
Road Test/Refresher Combo

Our road test prep includes teaching the student how to parallel park, k turn (3 point turn), reverse, as well as training the student to apply all of the rules and habits which the examiners are looking for.

Are your instructors certified?
Of course! Our instructors are certified by New Jersey at MVC, fingerprinted, background checked, and provided with 40 hours of in-car training. Our vehicles are equipped with dash cams and GPS trackers to ensure the safety of all of our students.
What do I need to bring along with me on the day of the road test?
You’ll need ONE of the following primary documents
U.S.Passport
Original Birth Certificate with a raised seal
Non-Driver Id from NJ DMV
Glasses or contacts if worn
Of course, a permit is required as well.

What are the advantages of having a driving school drive me to my road test?
What are the advantages of going to a driving school for a road test? Aside from the fact that Skillful driving has a great reputation at all of the Road test locations for bringing well-prepared students, a specific car is also required for a road test which we will be able to provide for you with all of the requirements. A road test service also provides the convenience of door-to-door service and transportation to road test locations that can be 30 or more minutes away, saving parents time away from their other responsibilities.
